InFLOW stands for Introducing Future Leaders to Opportunities in Water and was conceived by our parent organization, Water Environment Federation (WEF) in an effort to introduce promising students from underrepresented groups to careers in the water industry.
InFLOW program is focused on promoting diversity and inclusion within the water sector. The primary goal is to engage participants in events and networking opportunities to solidify their interest in working in the water industry as well as increase opportunities for employment and long-term success. The InFLOW program for students aims to provide students with the skills, experience, and connections they need to succeed in their chosen field.
InFLOW program provides for students to attend the Florida Water Resource Conference (FWRC) at no cost. While participants will have the opportunity to have small and meaningful conversations with program supporters, mentors, and future employers as well as learn more about the water industry by attending technical sessions and touring the exhibits hall.
Each InFLOW participant will receive a 2-day agenda specifically designed to provide a well-rounded experience at FWRC. The program will run from Sunday, April 26th – Monday, April 27th 2026. This year, FWRC will be held at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, FL from April 26 – 29, 2026.
We ask participants to attend an online orientation (in March 2026) prior to the conference and participate in a post-event conference call and survey. Your input on improving the experience for future participants is essential to ensuring the continued success of the InFLOW program.
